Local Author Bethany Groff Writes 'A Brief History'
10/7/08

A Brief History of Old Newbury,
by Bethany Groff, has been released by The History Press.  It's part adventure, part love story, and part crime-drama, with lots of useful information about bridges and ferries and the price of cattle.

It is the story of a small community of adventurers, heretics, criminals, and Puritans who made their way from England to settle along the New England coast and created one of the most important communities in American history.

Locally, the book is available for purchase at the following businesses:
The Book Rack, State Street, Newburyport
Jabberwocky Bookstore, The Tannery, Newburyport
Tendercrop Farm, High Road, Newbury
Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm, Little's Lane, Newbury

It is also available on Amazon.com:  Click here.
